BoatMechanic.ai is operated from the United Kingdom. We make no representations that our Services are appropriate or available for use in other locations.
By using the Services, you agree that all matters relating to your access or use shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
If you access the Services from outside the UK, you do so at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws and regulations.
BoatMechanic.ai provides:
AI-powered boat troubleshooting based on user input, known issues, and public data
Access to manuals, resources, scraped web data, and user-uploaded materials
Suggestions for maintenance, inspection, and repair workflows
A web-based chat assistant for diagnostic support
Optional paid features including expanded usage, exportable reports, and historical data
The Services are provided as general informational tools only and are not a substitute for professional advice, inspection, or repair.
YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:
The Service is experimental and may produce incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading outputs.
No diagnosis or advice provided is guaranteed to be correct, complete, or applicable to your specific vessel or engine.
You must always consult a qualified marine engineer or technician before attempting repairs or acting on the Service’s output.
You are solely responsible for how you use the information provided.
The Services are not regulated by any maritime safety authority.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BoatMechanic.ai, its owners, directors, employees, partners, licensors, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages (including personal injury, mechanical damage, lost profits, or business interruption) arising from:
The use or inability to use the Services;
Reliance on any output generated by the AI system;
Any bugs, omissions, errors, or delays;
Any third-party links or content;
Any interaction with a third-party mechanic, vendor, or service provider referred by the system.
In jurisdictions where limitations of liability are restricted, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR £50, WHICHEVER IS LESS.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BoatMechanic.ai, its founders, shareholders, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in any way related to:
Your use or misuse of the Services;
Any violation of these Terms;
Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights;
Any information, data, or content you provide to or through the Service.
This indemnity includes protection of the personal assets of BoatMechanic.ai’s owners and directors.
Paid plans are available as listed on our Pricing Page. You agree:
Your plan will automatically renew unless canceled prior to the renewal date.
Charges are processed securely via third-party billing providers.
We reserve the right to modify pricing or plan features with advance notice.
All sales are final. Refunds are not guaranteed and may be issued solely at our discretion.
You may upload boat details, images, audio, videos, and other materials. By doing so, you grant BoatMechanic.ai a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, process, and analyze your submissions for the purpose of improving our Service.
You represent that:
You own or have permission to upload any content you submit;
Your content does not infringe on any third-party rights;
You will not upload malware, offensive content, or illegal material.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete any user data that violates these Terms.
You agree not to:
Use the Service to diagnose emergency or life-threatening conditions
Tamper with, reverse-engineer, or exploit the Service in any way
Share login credentials or abuse free trials
Use automated tools to extract or resell content from the platform
Circumvent any usage limits or billing systems
Violating this section may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
All trademarks, logos, software, data structures, visual elements, and AI systems are the exclusive property of BoatMechanic.ai or its licensors.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any portion of the Services without express written permission.
We may suspend or terminate your access:
If you violate these Terms
If your use places system strain or risks to other users
If required by law
We may also suspend accounts that are inactive or exceed fair usage limits. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without liability. We may update these Terms periodically. If changes are significant, we will post a notice and revise the “Last Updated” date.
Your continued use of the Service after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We shall not be held liable for delays or failures in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, cyber-attacks, wars, strikes, or utility failures.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of the Terms will remain fully enforceable.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other applicable terms referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and BoatMechanic.ai and supersede all prior discussions or understandings.
